Waterworks!
Brad’s sister Becca got married this past weekend. I have known her for half of her life…how crazy is that! I totally did not realize that she was getting married until just before she walked down the isle. All these months of preparation the doing, going and picking it never hit me that she would be married and move away to Florida. When did it hit you ask…right before we all walked down the isle. Lovely, I know! I was the matron of honor and I spent the whole day by her side. You would of thought it could hit me when she put the dress on or during pictures but no. We were all lined up to walk down the isle and I saw her struggling to pull the blusher over her face and I went to help her fix it and then it was all over. For some reason when I pulled the blusher over her face I just totally and completely lost it. It hit me that my little sister was all grown up. She was not the middle school girl that I pictured in my mind she was a woman about to be married. Well, I did totally loose it as I mentioned and then she totally lost it and then her dad totally lost it and well there went the bridesmaids as well. We all walked in bleary eyed and crying uncontrollably (okay maybe the crying uncontrollably was just me but all the same). Tissues were passed during the sweet ceremony and I am not sure that there were many dry eyes left by the end. To defend myself though I did owe Becca a good weeping at her wedding since she wept all the way through our wedding!
Joy, you fully deserved to weep all through the wedding! You know you, as does Becca, look beautiful with a little red nose and weepy eyes.
Hope you don’t mind, I thought I’d keep up on the Guilford family happenings by reading your website, like you kept telling me.

You’re right, you owed me.
It took several days before I could even think about that moment without losing it again. As much as we did indeed lose it, it was a very sweet moment and I wouldn’t trade any of our tears to have it any other way. We MISS you guys, and we LOVE you! Thank you for loving us so well and celebrating with us!
Love,
Becca

[...] The wedding ceremony itself was wonderful. My sister looked absolutely beautiful walking down the aisle with my dad, and you could tell that Matt was simply enthralled. It was really neat to see. Other than my wife being the party primarily responsible for crying during the wedding, everything went very well.

Joy – Thankfully, I “realized” Becca and Matt were getting married a little sooner, so had Moms In Touch praying that I would hold it together and think about how INCREDIBLE it is that God brought her Matt.
It’s a wonderful think to love two people so much it hurts, don’t you think? I love you. Mom
