Here Toothy Toothy Toothy!

Filed under: Happenings,Look At Her Grow — Joy @ 9:44 pm

Okay, we have officially thought that Charis was teething for about 4 months now. She has been exhibiting so many of the teething signs such as swollen gums, red cheeks (yes, it is a sign), fussiness etc. Well she was eating her daily allotment of Cheerios today and as she was opening up for a handful I noticed a little something perhaps peeking through. Could it be? I fed her about a million Cheerios just trying to figure out if indeed the spot was a tooth. I cannot feel anything there but there is definitely a little something to be seen.

We Are Rock-in!

All right not really rock-in but we are rocking! In the last few days Charis has been making it to her knees in the crawling position and she rocks about three times and then she collapses. It takes a lot to get between 20-25 pounds off the ground! She does drag/roll herself wherever she needs to get for now but this crawling thing is not to far behind. Brad is a little concerned about this new stage and is ready to invest heavily in gates to keep her out of stuff. :)

DaDa

Filed under: Family,Happenings,Look At Her Grow — Joy @ 2:39 pm

The last 10 days we (Charis and I) have had the sweet gift of having DaDa at home with us. It has truly been wonderful to get to spend quality time just the three of us. We have not had this much time since Charis was brand new. It is a whole new and different world of wonder at 8 months. Charis is even saying DaDa now and she seems to really know who he is. It is such a precious thing. Charis and I are a little sad today with no DaDa at home but we are thankful for his hard work that allows us to stay home together. Charis keeps looking for her DaDa and getting excited when we walk into a room because she thinks that he might be there. I just keep telling her that he is at work. She will probably explode with excitement when he comes home this afternoon! Routine is hard without your DaDa. He is the best ever!

Dusty Blog!

Okay, so the holidays slowed me down a bit on the blog. Brad and I do not share the computer so well when we are both home. :) I hope that everyone had a sweet Christmas. I also wish you a very Happy New Year and a not so dusty blog!
