Nnnnana
Such an endearing term for a food greatly loved! Charis loves her bananas these days. She has started eating “real†food cut up in microscopic pieces (okay not quite that tiny but small all the same). When I start preparing her food occasionally she will start saying nnnnana over and over again greatly anticipating the banana that is coming her way. It is pretty cute! I started telling her what food I was giving her and I guess that banana is pretty easy to say especially if you drop the b. She is very passionate about her nnnnanas. She is up to eating about a half of a banana at lunch although eating is loose as I think she mainly does a quick mash with the gums and swallows it pretty much whole. She is enjoying all her “real†food but has taken this strong liking to the nnnnanas. It is a cute thing!
That is amazing that she is really talking! How amazing that she is trying to say bananas! She is so smart.

Okay, that does it! I want to be called Nana instead of Granny!

That’s precious! Is that her first word?

Erin, it is Charis’s first word after DaDa and MaMa. She says byebye also but I am not sure if she knows totally what it means.
