I remember a lot of crying (and not "small crying" either - I mean those gut-wrentching SOBS) when we went "tree shopping" wanting to take home the most pathetic tree in the lot. It's carried over into adulthood - which is why I have an artificial tree (I feel like I'm in the pound when I go into a tree lot).
