Dada’s Box

Filed under: Crafty — Joy @ 3:28 pm

Not this time kiddo! Every time we get a box delivered to the house Charis says, “Dada’s box!” She gets very excited about it. Well, yesterday Mama got a box from the friendly UPS man and this just threw Charis for a loop. She kept saying, Dada’s box and was dumbfounded when I opened it! I was quite excited for my box as it contained many a fun thing to start making Cai’s birth announcements! I ordered card stock, a new Versa Mark pad, ribbon and brads. Plus with Stampin’ Up for the months of January-February it is Sell-a-bration so if you buy so much you get a free set of stamps of your choosing! It just worked out perfectly by a few cents (imagine that) that I was able to receive a free set called Very Punny! It is too cute! I need to get busy and start cutting away at the card stock. This is not my only card making project as I also need to finish making thank you cards for baby gifts that Cai might receive, Charis’s birthday invites and her thank yous as well. Gee, I might need another box delivered!!!

Cravings

Filed under: Silly Somethings — Joy @ 11:22 pm

Since my cravings are currently so intense I thought that I might share them with the rest of the world! It is odd how different my cravings were with Charis compared to my cravings with Cai. Charis was definitely french fries all the way all the time. There was also the chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-a mind you with extra pickles. My cravings with Cai; I am happy to report are a bit more healthy! Oh large wonderful salads and super warm baked potatoes. Total difference I know! Usually for lunch I will find the largest bowl that we have and make the biggest salad that I can with a baked potato on the side of course. The only common craving between the two is Orange Juice! Oh, yummy OJ! With Charis and with Cai I have had several glasses a day. Together Brad and I go through about 3 gallons of OJ a week if that tells you anything about my consumption! I am sure that I have other little cravings with both kiddos but this has been the main one. As far as dislikes it just really depends on the day although with both pregnancy’s I have not really cared for chicken by itself unless it was/is in the form of nuggets so that I can coat it in ketchup. Also with Cai I do not really care for super tomato based items such as spaghetti or a lot of sauce on pizza. Ooey gooey cheese makes my tummy turn as well. Writing this all down makes my life seem so complicated and high maintenance! Brad would probably vote for the high maintenance but it is not that complicated as long as we have potatoes and salad!
