He Is Risen

Risen Art Work

Charis made this letter R (the R is for risen) a few weeks ago in the nursery as I had a meeting at church. It was sweet to my heart to see her already learning about the Lord and what God did through Him for her and for all of us! It has been a sweet decoration and reminder to me on our fridge of all that Christ took to the cross for me. He took ALL of my sin! It does not end with His death there on the cross though He rose from the dead as well! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Easter Blessings!

The Magic Of Ordinary Days

“I fell so deeply in love that night, and since I had so little to give, I gave it all.”
-The Magic Of Ordinary Days by Ann Howard Creel

This may be a new favorite! I usually wait until after my book club to write about our books but this one could not wait! It is a wonderful novel and a quick easy read! It is the story of Livvy and her process of learning that she has much to give even though it is not what she wanted to give. There is much to gain and learn from this little book! Enjoy!!!

Going Going Gone

Bunnies

Yep, there they went! The rabbits were loaded up into a van and headed off into the wild blue yonder! It is sad as we have had them for over 8 years but we desperately needed the space. They were wonderful pets and I was sad to see them go and I even questioned if it was okay to let them go to a new home but in the end it seemed the right thing. I listed them on craigslist a week and a half ago. Right away I got a response but that person seemed to disappear. Then out of the blue about two days ago I got an email from a lady who was super interested. We chatted on the phone last night and she just seemed like a real animal lover. Her daughter runs a Guinea Pig rescue and this lady has always had rabbits. I asked her if she would like for me to send her pictures and she said no she just wanted them and she could come as soon as possible to pick them up. She came today and the rest was history. When she came she did pick up the more aggressive rabbit to pet but he just cuddled with her so I thought that was a good sign. I helped her out to her car and off she went. We will now have space in the Kitchen to move the hutch from the Dining room. This has always been our hope but especially so after we started the fish tank. The dining room got quite crammed with the addition so this will make more room for guest and actual eating in the Dining room which I am really excited about. We will also probably keep a Pack-n-Play in the Dining room while Cai is little to save a few million trips up and down the steps. Charis is slowly making the adjustment. The bunnies left while she was down for a nap so she awoke to an empty Kitchen which was a little hard even though I had tried to prepare her. She has asked about them several times just wanting to know where they are and if she can feed them she seemed a little sad but hopefully she will adjust quickly. I think that has been the hardest part just seeing her adjust as she did enjoy them. She does love the fishies though so hopefully that will distract her a bit. I will miss the bunnies as they have been apart of our lives for so long since we got them a year after we were married but the time had come sadly enough for them to head to another new and wonderful home.

One More

Today Brad was able to make it to the other fish store in town. While they were lacking in the extra snails they did have another fish on his wish list! He came home with a Longnose Hawkfish. They are pretty incredible as they do not have a swim bladder and tend to float here and there or work really hard with their fins to get where they want to go. The Hawkfish has explored the tank more than any other fish so far. Everyone seems to still be doing great today and coming out of hiding more and more. The Royal Gramma definitely has a hole that he calls home but he is coming out often. The snails are quite not all there as we have had to flip many of them over. For some reason they keep turning up on their backs in the bottom of the tank. Hang on I say!!! Charis is still loving all the fishies and gets frustrated when they hide from her although they do this often. ;) Here is a picture of the new fish that we added today. Pretty amazing!
