Down For The Count
Well, I have been feeling a bit like Elmo at the end of a long day…beat down, discarded and flat on my back. I partook in the lovely stomach bug the beginning of this week, so far no one else has followed suit in our home…here is hoping! I am happy to be on the mend and back as an active part of society (it is odd how the world does not stop when you stop). I have to take a second to thank our wonderful mothers who swooped in to help with the kiddos during the day Monday! Many many thanks!!! Also many many thanks to my wonderful husband who after a long day at work came home to help pick up the house, put the kiddos down and deal with his pretty lifeless wife! Hip hip hooray for the hubby! Needless to say I am happy to be back in Blogland!

I was the only one who got the stomach bug in our house too! It was horrible but I’d gladly suffer so Cassie doesn’t have to! I’m glad you’re back in the saddle again!
What would we do without Grandmommies to rescue us!?! Funny to think that thanks to the Army, my Mom and Brad’s Mom didn’t have family to swoop in and save the day…but they had each other and the body of Christ. Did you know my Mom took care of the boys for Becca’s birth in Germany–we lived in different places at that point so my Mom travelled to stay a week or so with them. It’s so strange for me to think of those great Christian women as struggling young mommies like us…depending on each other to keep focused on the goal of raising Christlike kids. I think the coolest part of this circle of life is that now, Brad’s wife and little ‘Kitsy’ are the friends who encourage each other to stay focused! Each time Cassie and I have ’sat’ on the potty lately we’ve prayed for Charis to have peace and excitement as she enters the new world of potty-training. Also praying for YOU to have the patience you’ll need to gently usher her through this transition! You are the good shepherd for your little lambs…what a tremendous blessing not to have to bring in hired hands to care for them!
Sending so much love and prayers to our Father for you and your organic family!

Thank you for all the love K! It is amazing to think that our mom’s did struggle as well to find the sturdy ground but what an incredible gift the Lord has given us in showing us how He has brought them through. There is great hope in the Lord! Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!
