Okra

Filed under: Gardening — Joy @ 8:20 pm

I found this beautiful Okra flower blooming in the garden last week! It was a wonderful surprise as the okra had not done much up until now. I picked the first of the okra this week and last night I fried some in true southern style! It was very yummy even though I ate it alone as the kiddos and hubby would not touch it. ;)

  1. What a gorgeous flower. I have really learned a lot from your gardening this year. Who would have ever thought an okra plant would have such a beautiful bloom. Ummm just thinking about okra makes me hungry.

  2. hey,
I found the fabric on etsy, (AliyahsHopeChest’s Shop) it came to me cut out in the pattern shapes, and directions on how to assemble. Best $12 I ever spent.
